You might be overwhelmed with excitement on the thought of buying a new HD TV for which you might end up getting frustrated because you don’t have the right budget. The cheapest HD TV you can buy in the market is around $700. While the most expensive costs around $5000. That of course depends on the choice of size and the brand when you buy HD TV.

To help you with your shopping, you can visit various online stores to get a preview of all the available HD TV units. Wireless Audio

January 30th, 2009

Nowadays, I have so many audio and video devices that I can hardly keep track of them all. I have an old tape player and record player for my older music, a CD player, an iPod, a computer, a receiver, and all the rest of it. I have a subscription to HDTV with surround sound speakers. When I think about it, my high tech gear is probably worth more than my apartment! Yet until you recently, I couldn’t use almost any of it. Without the wireless audio, there was no way to connect things. I still had my standard computer speakers – the teeny ones that came with the box – playing all my sound from my PC and my iPod. The surround sound only hooked up to the TV. The record player and tape just sat there in the corner.

Wireless audio video has made a much welcomed chane to all that. When they first came out, wireless transmitters were a luxury – something you could well without if you had to. You could do everything with cables, so why bother with buying more expensive audio transmitters? Nowadays, however, it just doesn’t make sense to go without wireless audio. You see, there are so many things that play sound and video. You don’t want to have to buy a separate set of speakers for everything, but running all those cables to one central receiver is a nightmare.

The best thing about a wireless audio transmitter is that you can control the sound from anywhere in your house. If you live in a two room apartment like I do, this isn’t a big deal, but for friends of mine who have actual houses, it really makes a difference. I have a friend who actually set up a wireless sound system where he could control which speakers played at any time from any place. That means that he could hear music just in the bedroom, just in the living room, or all over the house at once.Wireless audio has become part of my everyday life that I would find very hard to do without now.

Stereo Systems

January 30th, 2009

Nowadays big doesn’t necessarily mean better, like it did in the olden days. If you want a large stereo system in your home or in your car, you can find whatever you need. Some speakers are large, even though there is really no reason for them to be. No one needs a three foot tall speaker in their home for surround sound, but if you want that for effect, you can find them in many places. Most are looking for a smaller stereo system though, and that happen because they don’t like the look of them, or they simply do not have a lot of room to have speakers lying around.

You can find smaller speakers to go with your stereo system that will sound just as good, if not better, than the larger ones you may think you have to have. Speakers have come a long way, and size no longer means better quality. If you think about the Bose sound system, you may know what I mean. This is something that looks like a clock radio alarm clock, but has the full sound of a very impressive stereo system. If you really want something small, you may want to check these out before you buy anything else.

One of the most important aspects and the one people forget about when they buy a stereo system is your envirement. This important consideration with a stereo system might be where you live. I know many don’t think about this, and many don’t care, you do have to think about those around you. If you live in an apartment, you can not have a loud stereo system running all of the time unless you want to be on the most hated list. Try to be considerate and remember that loud does not mean better. Usually having a system at a decent level is when it sounds the best. You may think the loud thumping noise is impressive, but that is usually only the case in a club or a bar. Otherwise, look out for your neighbors, and they will give you the same consideration.

How can I connect a home theatre system to a computer?

January 14th, 2009
I have a 1000w phillips home theatre receiver with 5.1 speakers and want to hook it up to my computer for FULL surround sound (not stereo rca).

I also have a barracuda sound card and 780i motherboard that are both 7.1 compatible and a sambsung 26 hdmi monitor and a blueray drive by sony.

What connections would I need to make this happen so I can listen to blueray movies on these speakers?
